Brawlhalla is a competitive fighting game and if there’s one thing that you know for sure is going to be a part of this genre it’s the fact that there are going to be tons of unique combos and strings to pull off in the game.
One way that Brawlhalla manages to make its balancing simpler in the game is that the combos are based on the weapons that your character uses rather than something that your character does exclusively to them. So, the different potential of pulling off cool combos in the game relies on the weapon that your character has equipped and can be learned off of that.
In this guide, we’ll be discussing all of the combos for every single weapon in the game. However, the combos have to be mentioned with the game’s terminology to make it easier to understand what the player is supposed to do. And to do that – we need to first take a look at the game’s terminology itself.
Brawlhalla Combo Terminology
nLight – Neutral Light
This simply means pressing the light attack button with no particular direction selected.
sLight – Side Light
This means pressing the light attack button while holding your character’s movement towards the left or right sides.
dLight – Down Light
This means pressing the light attack button while holding down on the movement of your character.
nAir – Neutral Air
This is the same as neutral Light but you’re in the air.
sAir – Side Air
This means that you’re in the air and are holding a side like sLight.
dAir – Down Air
Same as the other air ones, it means holding down while in the air just like dLight.
Rec – Recovery
The recovery move is self-explanatory as it helps you recover by pressing any movement button besides down to recover from an animation.
GP – Ground Pound
Holding down on the ground and pressing the heavy attack helps you hit the ground with both strength and speed.
sigs – Signature Attacks
These are the signature moves that are specific for the legends that the player uses. They follow the same terminology as the other attacks, such as dSig, nSig, and so on.
Combos –
Combos are moves which cannot be broken out of until the thing is over or the player using it misses. This is not true in every case, but it mostly applies as a rule.
Strings –
Strings are similar to combos in the sense that they are a mix of different moves coming together. However, unlike combos, they are much more likely to be broken out of and usually don’t even make it that difficult.
Keep in mind that unlike combos, Strings are not absolute and that means there will be many random strings that you can find that aren’t listed here.
Ending – e
When this is written before a command, it means that action is just about to end. For example, eAir means when the jump is about to end.
Every Brawlhalla Combo
Now that we have the terminologies out of the way, it will be easier for us to discuss and understand the combos. As I said, the combos are mainly based on what weapon you have equipped – or if you have any weapon equipped at all in some cases. And the only thing that makes these characters specific besides their frames are the signature moves which will be involved.
Brawlhalla Scythe Combos:
Actual Combo:
sAir – > sLight
This is the only combo that you get with the Scythe that still works since updates tend to patch things out if deemed overpowered. The best part about it is that you get -4 frames with it, which is a great advantage.
It’s a bummer though, that the number of combos is so low here compared to some of the other weapons.
